Yeehaw Red Dead Redemption meets Stardew Valley" cozy cowboy living sim "Cattle Country".
[Hey buddy, holster that six-shooter and grab a smoke at the bar. If you like horse-drawn carriages, shootouts with bandits, and dusty little frontier towns, you might want to lasso this new game and drive it into the corral (that's Old West for "add to your Steam wish list")

Its name is "Cattle Country". It's a "cozy cowboy living sim" described by publisher Playtonic Friends as "Red Dead Redemption meets Stardew Valley." I know what you're thinking. Hardly a day goes by these days that a new game doesn't appear with the title "Stardew Valley Meets [Something Else]." But it's hard not to find this game appealing.

Here's the trailer, and here's Roger Clarke, the voice of Arthur Morgan in RDR2. Perfect.

The trailer gives us glimpses of farming, felling trees (of course), building, mining metal in caves, and fishing. There also seems to be a fairly extensive menu of cookable meals and craftable drinks. And you can frolic on the frontier: cattle country has 18 romantic partners, as well as events and activities such as rodeos, livestock competitions, cattle drives, and bare-knuckle boxing and wrestling between two people in the ring. It is quite a lively town!

But not everything is a picnic on the prairie. Bandits roam the plains and have their eyes on the bustling little town. The trailer doesn't show any combat, but a GIF on the Steam game page shows the bad guys being comically obliterated in a gunfight before pulling the trigger:

It all looks pretty good and I can't wait to see more. Cattle Country is being developed by Castle Pixel, developer of the Blossom Tales series. Unfortunately, no release date has been set, but check out the gallery below for some screenshots.
