After a three-hour challenge, Eldenring folk hero "Let Me Solo Her" defeats the last boss of "Shadow of the Eldestree": 'Oh my God, I'm shaking!

The public is up in arms about how difficult "Elden Ring: Shadow of the Eldestree" is. But there's no denying that this DLC's ruthless boss is one of the most difficult ever created by From Software. And today, the guardian angel of cooperative play, "Let Me Solo Her" (or maybe "Him" now?) also had a tough time before I beat him, which made me feel better after spending 7 hours trying to take him on. Spoilers for Shadow of the Eldest Tree's last boss are ahead.

Let Me Solo Her had already no-hit the mid-boss Messmer the Impaler, but Promised Consort Radahn is something else. After a two-hour boss delivery yesterday, Let Me Solo Her finally defeated this man in a one-hour delivery today.

Radahn's signature vase helmet is still intact, but otherwise he was able to counter Radahn's beastly and relentless attacks with his super-heavy, super-tanky new Verdigris armor and Karian knight's shield.

For a while he had a lock on Radahn's first phase, only running into problems in the second phase when the "young lion" would unleash a god laser or teleport flurry attack.

Victory finally came thanks to the Scarlet Rot-infested Ant-Spar Rapier, but even with its powerful status effects, it was still a close call and was nearly run out of the running with a couple of combos just as Ladern's strength bar was about to run out. Let Me Solo Her said after finally defeating Radahn, "Oh my god, I'm shaking."

When asked in today's chat which he found more difficult, Ladern or Marenia, Let Me Solo Her gave a thoughtful response: he said that the overwhelming and relentless brutality of the Water Bird Dance was an incredible challenge for the "Souls" community to consistently find ways to dodge He pointed out that it is an incredible challenge and a barrier to progress that appears repeatedly in her battles and demands a perfect response.

In Radahn's case, it is a consistent level of aggression that never lets up, and none of his attacks can match the terror of Waterfowl Dance. He really is something else with this boss. I think I'll try him hitless at some point."

Let Me Solo Her has certainly cleared the thousands of Radahn attempts logged by megastreamer Kai Cenat, and it remains to be seen if he will continue his usual form to take on the co-op solo of Shadow of the Erdtree's last boss. For now, it looks like he still has a good portion of the DLC map to explore.
