Elden Ring Speed Runner is competing to see who can kill among the fastest, which is why most people have not finished the job yet.

Bandai Namco shared a friendly PSA for the Elden Ring player earlier this month: Most of you are not ready for the shadow of the Erdtree extension. That word of caution came after streamer Cohh Carnage stated that less than 38% of Steam players had achievements to kill Mohg, Lord of Blood — and if you want to get into the DLC, mohg has to go.

We expected that number to increase as players prepared for Erdtree's arrival, but there wasn't much movement in that aspect.

There are some potential explanations for Mohg's survival: some players are still relatively new to the game and just haven't got there yet, and Mohg is sure (it's also worth noting that more than 4 in 3 of Steam's Elden Ring players have reached the roundtable, so obviously some people aren't playing at all). .

Whatever the reason, if you find yourself lacking the Mohg head you need on your wall, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that you can track him and put 30 of the sayings in his head in just 3 minutes or so. The bad news is, you have to be really, really good at Elden Ring to do it.

That this feat is achievable has been demonstrated by many Elden Ring speedrunners participating in speedrunner Nuclear Pastatom's "DLC Unlock%Speedrun Bounty", as GamesRadar has noticed.

As mentioned in this Google docs, the basics are simple: Speedrunners must take down Starscourge Radahn, Magnus The Beast Claw, and (of course) Mohg, the Lord of Blood.

But in the great tradition of speedrunning, there is a rule: you must start as a wretched class, sober blacksmith stone weapons are not allowed, nor are there quitouts at the door, grace points, or boss dialogs. "Radahn Stake Skip" is a way to get to Radahn faster than intended, taking advantage of the strange geography of waygates and Elden Ring. For experienced speedrunners, however, it is the only way to fly.

Currently, the fastest submission to the NuclearPastaTom challenge is 27:39, submitted by streamer spicee, but all submissions come within 1 hour. Frankly, whether it takes 30 or 55 minutes to go from a new character to a Mohg-killer, it's an amazing achievement.

A fresh start to a dead Mohg in less than 30 minutes: Yes, you can.

Well, is this the way most people are trying to get the job done? To be honest, I'm sure you're not going to do it this way if you haven't turned off Mohg before. Speedruns can serve as a basic guide to getting to the Mohg quickly, but in fact, Elden Ring is a game intended to taste, not rush. If you want to take a shot with the belt, the challenge is open until 6.20 pm ET at 11.59PM, so for now, it will take about 30 hours to complete the job.

Elden Ring: Erdtree Shadow launches on PC at 6/20 3pm ET/6pm PT. Here's our own guide to preparing for the Erdtree DLC shadow, and a bit of advice that goes against the speedrunning approach: Instead of jumping into it with your cheesy, OP NG+ Yes, you'll be destroyed a lot, but as online editor Fraser Brown said, "You're not going to be able to do that." The FromSoftware game is a journey," and you should start your journey as a pathetic, maiden・free loser."After all, it's the tradition of FromSoft.
