Jackbox players rejoice: a free "Megapicker" is coming soon that will allow you to launch the specific Party Pack game you want to play.

My friends and I played Jackbox for the first time in a long time. 10 different Jackbox Games have been made, I can hardly distinguish between "Fibbage" and "Quiplash", and I can't even remember if "Tee K.O." is in "Party Pack 2" or "Party Pack 3". I don't even remember if "Tee K.O." is in "Party Pack 2" or "Party Pack 3". Thankfully, "The Jackbox Megapicker" will solve this problem soon.

Coming in July, The Jackbox Megapicker is a free launcher that tracks all the Party Packs in your Steam account and displays the individual games in them as a sortable and filterable library. Hours after the outing, no matter what state you and your friends are in, finding Civic Doodle will be simpler than ever.

I'm curious to see how the Mega Picker actually works. Will it just repackage all existing Party Pack games into one new piece of software that reads the Party Packs in your Steam account and determines which games you can launch? Or would it migrate from the megapicker and launch the Party Pack executable for each of the selected games? However it works, it will almost certainly cut down on holiday time fumbling between Party Packs while your extended family looks on in polite but awkward silence.

It's nice to see Megapicker addressing what has been mildly frustrating since, oh, half a decade ago, Party Pack, according to a press release sent by Jackbox, "through social media, customer feedback surveys, and handwritten directly from players through petitions," it is something they are acutely aware of, given that they are hearing complaints "directly from players.

Jackbox Megapicker will be a free download when it launches on Steam in July.
