Ditch the pesky controllers and cables in your pc with Lian Li's Wireless RGB Dongle

Lian Li always offers fantastic stuff at Computex. Sorry, it was a long day traipsing the hall for new hardware. I found some at the Lian Li booth: a wireless RGB controller that speaks to your fans without the hassle of cables. It is called the WRLS system.

It works with Lian Li's interconnected RGB fan, Uni Fan SLV3, and the RGB cable, Strimer Plus V3.

"So, in fact, everything, every fan and Strimer in the system, is controlled by wireless," says Jonathan, a representative of Lian Li.

It is controlled via a fan, RGB cable and many wireless dongles.

"So the way this is actually done for Strimer is built into the transmitter inside the cable development and also all receive power directly through the power cable as well."

Each set of up to 4 connectable fans uses a single power cable from the most convenient location to the fan header. The rest of the fan control and RGB header control (which usually requires a separate cable completely) are transmitted wirelessly from the receiver, so this is purely a power sled

The receiver can be connected to the back of the PC like any other USB dongle, or placed inside the PC using a usb and fan header connection. Then it kind of works like an internal RGB/fan controller, albeit without the mess of cables running into it.

In addition, the cables required to connect internally can be disconnected when connected externally.

"This is a very clean solution, freeing up a lot of confusion.

The WRLS system will be sold from Q3 this year. A 3-pack of fans with a receiver and a controller (one for controlling everything wirelessly) will sell for990. The price is not listed on the Strimer yet.
