Hogwarts Legacy is coming Director's cut, and it might well spell the end for the suicide squad

Hogwarts Legacy turns out to be one of the biggest games of 2023, with Warner Bros. boasting that it is "the best-selling game of the year across the global industry."1"The game was expected not to receive any extensions or DLC, but with over 2200 million sales, it looks like the mindset at the publisher has changed.

A new report by Bloomberg tells the story of the chaotic development of the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Warner Bros.-owned developer Rocksteady Studios has moved from single-player Arkham games to developing a multiplayer live service title, and the transition has been bumpy, with publishers taking a staggering loss of 200 million in that game.

However, at the end of the report, Rocksteady does not have the next major project, but Warner Bros.It has been described that you are busy with wizarding world.

"Many of the studio's employees are helping to develop a new "director's cut" version of Hogwarts Legacy. At the same time, according to familiar people, the leader of the studio is trying to pitch a new single-player game that will return Rocksteady to its roots."

First of all, yes, you can turn on the bat goggles and interpret the latter sentence. But this is the first time Hogwarts Legacy's Director's cut has been mentioned, and from a Warner Bros. perspective, this must not have been very easy. The fact that Rocksteady has chosen to cooperate with this project as well, unfortunately for Suicide Squad, alludes to Warner Bros. It's been backpedalling rapidly from a game that was released a few months ago.

While there are no details on what Hogwarts Legacy director's cut will look like, the game's developer WB Avalanche has been careful not to over-excite fans in the past, characterizing post-launch support as "a small way to show appreciation to players for a great reception to the game.""

This is because some of the game's most popular requests include things like NG+ mode and story extensions, while other players have been using Quidditch (Warner Bros. This is the most unlikely addition of all, as it has a standalone Quidditch game under development). But some of those dream demands will come within the scope of Director's cuts.

The news coincides with the fact that Hogwarts Legacy has received substantial new updates that, among other things, add a photo mode. This includes various Potter-style frames and filters, character poses, and a variety of other setup tools. Other additions include the respec option, and on PC, quests and rewards that were previously exclusively for PlayStation, as well as cosmetic pre-order bonuses and a new pair of "tape-up glasses".
