The creator of Chu-Chu Charles is back with a strange co-smoking, prison-breaking alien koala and some slightly nauseating physics-based mayhem

What would you do on your own after creating a terrifying mutant Spider Train that haunts my dreams? Apparently, you do the full 180 and go for some adorably strange mutants... koalas? mouse teddy bear?

Whatever they are ("Jailiens," according to the trailer for the Summer Gamefest), solo developer Two Star Games is back in Cuffbust. It's another addition to the "chaotic psychic-based party game" pile, which developers are constantly growing, with promises of "destructible environments, proximity chat, a multitude of escape roots, and a 20-player lobby.""

As the name suggests, Cuffbust is all about getting out of prison with a mate. Use tools such as soap, dynamite and spoon to carve your way out of prison while avoiding the guards and figuring out the best way to escape unscathed. The trailer shows some of the prisons breaking boxes to squeeze through vents, or jumping down pretty dirty sewers on the road to freedom.

The trailer ends with newly escaped jailiens celebrating their victory on the beach, in what I can assume is a huge joint. Is it okay for the mutant alien koala mouse bear stuff to smoke?"I'm not sure, but they probably deserve a little treat after a hard day's decamp.

I'm certainly a very big sucker for party games, and for some reason something about having a proximity chat is nothing more than to hear your friends screaming from 6 feet in the hallway I want to play with right away, and I think Cuffbust is a lot of jailbreak shenanigans.

As for when it's out, even the two stars don't seem to be completely sure. Apparently it may come in 2025", IDK TBH."I even stick to the release date these days, so frankly thank you?""
