"We're on solid moral ground": If you still do not want to awaken the use of deep yellow paint, take it with OSHA and HSE

I have always found that yellow paint useful, whether it is to know where I can park my car or to help me figure out the best way to cross the environment in a video game, but as some players have problems with this bright signpost, the developers are trying to find the best way to cross the environment. I wanted to set a straight record that will still awaken the deep.

During my time at the Beira D oil rig, I encountered a lot of horrible creatures and tragic scenes, but British health and safety standards were not one of them. There was a fair amount of yellow paint, especially outside the rig, but this didn't break my immersion or ruin the suspense — if anything, it made my journey look more realistic.

"We have a [load] of reference images showing yellow paint, it's a safety aspect, so you need to be able to see, it's dark and windy, you need to know where the steps are," " says lead developer Rob McLachlan." "We feel we're on solid moral ground. It is important to clarify these routes. And [yellow paint] was a really good way for us to create a real environment.

This yellow paint plastered on ladders, handrails, and valves across Beira D will come in handy more often. When you feel like the world is falling apart around you, which switch to trust in your weight, or a plank of wood These signals also make me wonder if I knew the layout like the back of my hand, as the protagonist Caz has already spent some time working here. This meant that you could race through the rig to jump over darts and gaps between platforms, as in the previous version of the game.

But it's not like the paint is thrown without thinking at all: "We tried to hide it sincerely," says Project technical director Louis Larsson-De Wet. "So it doesn't look like it's deliberately put there, but you realize it after a while. But we tried to hide it a little so that you do not notice it at first."

The paint here was honestly sandwiched between " with a thumb that hurts just as it can in other games like Resident Evil 4 Remake, where yellow paint is less expected."The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has similar rules, stating that caution and warning signs should be yellow.  So it looks like yellow remains here, at least for safety reasons.
