Blizzard sneaks in surprise Quality of life turns into a massive list of Diablo 4's Season 4 patch notes

In addition to changing almost everything about the loot of Diablo 4, Blizzard also sneaked some excellent quality of life changes into this month's huge update.

5/14, Diablo4season4 will drop in the biggest change list since the game's release. Rework to Loot is basic and will shape the way the upcoming game will play, but there are a few additional surprises that Blizzard didn't mention until today's stream.

Most of the updates will boost the power of the legendary items in Diablo 4, give them fewer, stronger stats, and help you build your game through the craft. The focus is on getting them to add bonus stats through the game. But with player power soaring, Blizzard wants to avoid people juggling stats just to survive in the game's hardest dungeons,

enter a previously undocumented change that I'm excited about: Armor from your gear is the most intuitive system of Diablo4. You will have a hard limit for how much will simplify one of the systems and protect you from physical damage to prevent surprise death. Before, you had to find someone's excel sheet to guess or figure out how much armor would keep you alive against monsters above your level. Now you'll just need some extra armor stats in your gear to hit the cap— through craft and legendary powers — and you'll again see the exact number required for the patch in the tooltip, according to Blizzard, soon after the release of Season 4.

Tweet Obols, currency for gambling items that were effectively useless before, now one of the easiest ways to gear up your character Obol vendors are guaranteed to give legendary items with maximum item power when it comes to Level 100. Tons of dungeons and events already reward you with these (you can now carry 2,500), so now you take them and you

Blizzard pointed out some other quality of life changes coming in Season 4.

If most of these changes have a theme, Blizzard will make your gear stronger, and armor and cash register goals are to become gods in your own way, especially if you don't have unique seasonal forces.

The full patch notes, including class changes, are now available in Blizzard's post. Compared to the realm of Season 4 public testing last month, there's little change except what we've highlighted here. Savages, for example, do not fill the screen with tornadoes, but the reduction is almost visual: they still hit almost as hard. And the Necromancer minions will remain as good as they were before — with some extra buff on top.

Diablo4 Season 4 will primarily include permanent changes to the game and will launch on 5/14.
