Every day, the PC Gamer team's email inbox is packed with new product announcements, many of which are ho hum. But sometimes, the product can really catch the eye, and the latest Corsair One i500small form factor PC is one such example.1 The look is in the beholder's eye, but if this isn't one of the best looking PCs I've ever seen, I'll be damned.1

For those unfamiliar, the One series is Corsair's line of mini PCs. They are standout thanks to the high quality design and high-end components, but as expected, they come with a hefty price. The latest iteration has 2 versions, 1 of which includes a water cooled Core I9 14900K, RTX4090, 64GB of memory and a 2TB SSD. OK, that's going to bring you back a whopping44,699, so if it turns you off, instead the RTX4080Super and a little global option with 32GB of memory that will cost you "only" cost3,599.

But in that case! It is so beautiful! You have a choice of light-colored maple or dark-colored walnut finishes. And they are made of real wood. Especially dark colors will look right at home on my desk. 1. I could not afford one, and if I asked to keep a sample of the review, the Corsair would laugh in my face is that I think I have to admire the photo. Or ask if Corsair would consider releasing the case as a standalone product.

We've reviewed several Corsair One PCs over the years and have come back to the original Corsair One in 2017, and most recently an iteration of the i300. Both versions were really impressed with the ability to pack flagship layer hardware into such a compact area, but faster configurations are certainly very expensive.

As for the hardware packed into the new i500i, I'm concerned about the effectiveness of cooling the system when tasked with taming such powerful components. It can be on the noisy side, hot or both. We recommend that you consider applying Intel's baseline power profile to control things.
