Hades 2 has an average surprise hiding in one of its boss battles — a sucker punch that Supergiant shows you are not afraid to go all psycho mantis.

I rarely do this, but I open it by saying that this article contains a major spoiler for Hades2's early access. We're talking (current) end-game stuff. It's also really the funniest thing I've seen from a super-huge game period.

As mentioned above in the game FAQ, Hades2 has as much content as the first game — including titan of time itself, the last boss battle against Chronos. See, he went ahead and punted the whole royal family of the underworld out of their house and house, so why the hero Merinosh has it for him.

Being a player, you might take revenge against him — not just because he is difficult (he, I already died on blighter several times) — but very mean

Well, well — you can pause, but it won't last long. Time Titan begins to make cheeky little remarks before pausing the game for you, bluntly, you control the flow of time in front of him Family emergency? house on fire? You need to pee'None of these is enough excuse to stop your match. Hold it or try again from scratch.

This, as you can imagine, has already caused some debate. On the game's subreddit, the thread has already discussed sucker punch, and its author laments the lost run that made Chronos 10% healthier before being ruined by critical phone-making skills issues. "I would eventually get there again, after finding the right benefit, but this left a real sour taste in my mouth."

Supergiant's Discord feedback is similar, with one player writing, "I know there's a spell to stop it, but I wouldn't have it or would prefer to pause in another "free" way." The spell they're referring to is "The Dissolution of Time" and it's a neat way to get players to have a (very good) experience of getting Psycho Mantis'd in the old days of Metal Gear Solid

That's all, uh, you need Z-Sand. it's what you get from killing kronos. You can see the problem here.

I have 2 hearts about myself as a whole. On the one hand, the rule of this whole mechanic — it's a neat fourth wall break, making Kronos scary, and on the other hand you will finally stop his shenanigans, I do not know whether the player should be punished for having to attend a real emergency, very difficult Hades2.

However, there are some intermediate suggestions from the Discord feedback channel that I like. One argues that Kronos should instead stop you from unpausing and rant at you for five minutes. Another suggests that if you try to pause first, the standard dialogue screen should open — a full psychomakiri experience, then all the pauses are going on. At least, you know that you will clear your schedule.

Personally, I don't think any spell to stop it should require Z-Sand. It's hard to make sure you get by all means, but the player may have a problem with the solution to the mechanic (fault yourself) Until then, we've heard that alt-tabbing works as well, but you shouldn't stop playing the early access version in its current state.
