Helldivers2CEO is letting players vote late because they worry it's "too early" to release$10 war bonds after the PSN debacle

Temperatures Are Chilling at Helldivers 2 Barracks since the PSN Account Link meltdown this weekend which saw an influx of 200,000+ negative reviews on this year's best-selling game.

Sony has retreated from an unpopular decision and Helldivers2's Steam rating is steadily recovering, but Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt is worried that it will open new wounds with its scheduled release tomorrow. The CEO numbers, the most democratic course of action, are putting it to the vote.

"With negative feelings about the account link, concern came out from the team" Is this a soundless to soon release a new (paid) warbond?Pilestedt tweeted today. "Therefore, we are putting it into a real vote in a real democratic way.

Voting is currently live and will close early Thursday morning in the US, but there are 2 options: "Release tomorrow" or "Delay release"."With more than 50,000 votes submitted so far, "Release Tomorrow" has a healthy 74% lead.

As you can see, I also voted for tomorrow. Don't try to sway the vote — I'm excited for the new gun — but I'm not surprised by the early lead. Most of PSN Linkage's frustrations were leveled at Sony, not Arrowhead, after the developers revealed that the mission didn't come from them. It is understandable that many people are ready to move on and get some new things in the game.

Still, it's a nice gesture to let the community decide, showing an unusual sensitivity (maybe even irritability) to the community's feelings for microtransactions. Hell divers have 10-ish more time to make their voices heard.
