One Manor Rose Player manages a city with more than 3,000 residents and just 1 market.

Players have already managed to reach the peak medieval suburb of Manor Lords, with an outrageous population of 3,220 inhabitants and one market to keep everyone.

Reddit user desman2k6 posted a screenshot of just one part of his Manor Lords metropolis to r/Manor Lords. "The aim here was not to build beautifully, but to push the game to the limit," desman2k6 said in a thread. "After all, the bottleneck is food and trading posts, because they are not replenished quickly enough."

It's incredibly impressive to have a town of manor lords with over 3,000 inhabitants. Feeding and organizing a town of this size is not a small feat. I thought I was just doing well in my small town of over 400 people — it's always good to be humble all now and then.

However, we can see how desman2k6 was able to achieve this ridiculously high population. In Manor Lords there are several options when building a burgage plot for future civilians. In addition to a simple plot that houses just one family, the burgage plot, there is an extension of the workshop for farming and making goods, and in addition to the burgage plot, there is a workshop and an extended space for two families. In addition, upgrading your burgage plot to level 3 will add living space for an extra family. These add-ons can maximize efficiency from each plot, provide food to families living there, or squeeze more people into smaller spaces.

Obviously, desman2k6 has 3 compartments at level 1,055, accommodating 3,220 people out of a population of 3,165, so these add-ons are a great way to get the most out of it. We made full use of the technology. Like most city builders, success comes from maximizing the efficiency and productivity of your citizens. But that being said, having just one market is a bold move, even with the additional food that burgage plots can offer.

"I only use 169 markets with up to 1 stall," says desman2k6. "I fed myself vegetables, berries and bread for a long time (up to about 1500 inhabitants). At some point, you need to buy from the exchange! The next point is that warehouses and grocery stores have space right next to the market. As only short routes are available for supplies! I also specialize in them. For example, 1 warehouse is for firewood and 1 warehouse is for clothing, so we only process this supply. It is best that only these warehouses and grocery stores have stalls in the market."

This is really the next level of planning and management and things should be easier. The new Manor Rose Patch will help relieve trading tariffs and traffic jams caused by busy villagers carrying goods to and from the market, among other great fixes and additions, so hopefully it is one area desman2k6 does not have to worry when it comes to planning the future of their megacities.
