When Homeworld3 starts in your area

After more than two decades of waiting, Home World 3 is almost upon us. You will only need a little more patience — unless you shelled out for one of the special editions — but after waiting for this long, I hope you can check it out

in the meantime, you can check out our Home World 3 review. After such a long wait, I wish it was inspired by a little more glowing critique — I don't really gel with the war game mode or some of the other changes - but the campaign missions are great and the busy maps are a lot of fun to fight. Even if it's not my favorite hometown, it's a good sequel.

Homeworld3 will be released on 5/13 in most of the world and is a simultaneous global launch, but in fact some players will be released a little earlier than today (5/10). It's only for the backers and owners of Fleet Command and Collector's Edition versions of Fig. If it includes you, you can already play it now. The standard and deluxe versions of the game will take effect on 5/13 at 11am PT.

Here's how this translates to different time zones.

Unfortunately, preloading is not available in Homeworld3, so you will need to start downloading at the above time before joining the mothership that travels across the stars. The good news is that this won't take much time. This may change a bit before release, but the review version is only 28GB in install size.

To see if the game works well on your PC, read our Homeworld3 performance analysis before the launch date.
