The Assassin's Creed game we knew for the last year and a half as codenamed Red eventually has a proper title, the shadow of Assassin's Creed, and it will be fully revealed in just a few days, on May 15.

Code-named Red was revealed in 2022/9 along with 2 other unnamed Assassin's Creed games.Hexe has a very obvious supernatural vibe, but it's not entirely defined otherwise.Jade is a mobile game set in China in 215 BC. 

On the other hand, Red is set in feudal Japan, with a locale shift set in that Associate editor Ted Litchfield was immediately excited and basically establishing a full head canon based on a 10-second teaser.

"Cast the Ninja tribe of Iga as a franchise for some sort of assassination order, and the world-famous samurai class aristocracy becomes the Templars," he enthused. "Even though the historical ninja of the Warring States period appeared long after the time of the assassin order, its original group really outstripped the latter in the popular imagination. "Assassin" may be a generic term for Kleenex, a killer focused on infiltrating, but in honor of a secret warrior from Japan, try to walk 5 steps without stumbling into a movie, anime, video game, or self-made tabletop class."

Assassin's Creed Shadows will be fully revealed in the "cinematic world premiere trailer" on 5/15 at 9am PT/12pm ET/5pm BST. In Ubisoft's way, one of the publisher's YouTube channels (via Wario14) was leaking a release date of 2024/11/15. I still don't know if that's accurate, but I think I'll find out in a few days. When it happened on YouTube, you can reveal.
