New evidence suggests that the Red dead redemption PC port is imminent. The famous GTA dataminer Tez2 posted a new code from the Rockstar launcher site today, but there's not much room for interpretation. In the code, there is the following quote: "A journey across the vast expanses of the American West and Mexico with Red Dead Redemption, and its zombie horror companion, Ande"

If true, it's a grumpy move on the Rock Star part: (after mobile) on the second largest gaming platform in the world

Red Dead Redemption received PS4 and Nintendo Switch ports last year, but some were disappointed by the lack of graphical enhancements. For example, even the PS4 version remained locked at 30fps, but later PS5 players became available with the 60fps option. Rock Stars have long been shy of PCs.
