The release window for Grand Theft Auto 6 has narrowed a bit: In today's end-of-2024 financial report, publisher Take—Two Interactive said the game is expected to come out in the fall of 2025 - for consoles, anyway.

The update was delivered in the very corporate financial press release format, I quote here for full effect: "As we enter fiscal 2025 with positive momentum, we expect to deliver a net budget of 5 5.55 to 5 5.65 billion. Our outlook reflects the shrinking of the previously established window of the Calendar of Rockstar Games 2025 2025 Calle for Grand Theft Auto 6

"We are very confident that Rockstar games will provide an unparalleled entertainment experience, and we are pleased to announce that the title will be released soon." Our expectations for commercial impact continue to increase."

Take-Two also expects to make a lot of money for a long time in the next GTA: "Going forward, we are poised to achieve a new level of success and expect continuous growth in net bookings in fiscal 2025, 2026 and 2027.

Before Grand Theft Auto 6, it was expected to be released in 2025, This represents a fairly meaningful zoom-in of the launch target. The only drawback is that it is not necessarily for the PC version of the game. Rockstar has so far only confirmed the GTA6 for the console, especially the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and there is no doubt that the PC version will come, but the big question is whether it will arrive at the same time, or in a few months, as it has traditionally been for Rockstar. For example, Gta5 debuted on Xbox360 and PS3 in 2013-9, but it didn't appear until 2015-4.
