It's an anniversary deal time, people, and I can't think of a better upgrade for your PC than a new monitor. Unlike CPUs and Gpus, monitors don't tend to date in one night when new models with 2x performance emerge.

In addition, while the price of so many PC components has been rising lately, screens are getting cheaper. Or you can use 16:9, 1440p, and 170hz less than well200.

If you increase the scale a bit, a high-refresh 4K game can be achieved for just4400. Some OLED monitors also have a deal, and Samsung has already cutド49 off the G9uber-wide monster of 500 inches. OK, it's still 1, 100, and OLED monitors remain expensive in principle. But they are also coming down.

Anyway, let's kick off with what I think is the best overall bang for your buck, the 34-inch ultrawide panel. It's my favorite form factor for both work and play. I love the added immersion of the 21:9 aspect ratio for the game, it really sucks you.

On the other hand, a resolution of 3, 440x1, 440 pixels doesn't hit the GPU nearly as badly as a 4K panel, but delivers decent image details. In 4K, about 500 million pixels, in 4K, it becomes about 800 million pixels, but the frame rate becomes high when the number of pixels to pump is small.

The ultrawide form factor of 34 inches is fab for everyday work, too. This is great for running 2 or 3 app windows side by side. Personally, I always feel a little constrained by comparison when using a "traditional" 16:9 widescreen display.

Anyway, if it's my favorite form factor, the cheapest option with an IPS panel and at least a 144Hz refresh is whether Newegg's Acer Gaming XV340CK isル249.99. It is very much of a monitor for money.

My only reservation is that it is limited to 250 nits. If you can stretch it a bit more, I would recommend the Gigabyte M34WQ above. That's pretty muchで359.99 again from Newegg, but it raises the ante to 400nit and adds HDR3 certification to the mix along with a reasonable 91% coverage of the DCI-400. Therefore, there are few compromises. If there is a catch, it is that it is not curved. At the entry level, if you're looking for a cheap, high-refresh IPS game, it can be a lot worse than the ASRock Phantom Gaming27-inch model. 

OK, it's only 1440p, not 1080p, but it's good for 165Hz, and it's onlyド119.99 from Newegg. If you're on a tight budget, you can't argue with that kind of value for IPS High Refresh games, right.

Well, except to say that 1440p should be the minimum requirement, in which case the fun starts at justと27 for a Gigabyte 27-inch panel, 170hz GS27QC, 189.99 I'm using a 170hz 1440p game panel for less than well200.

It is recommended to add the Ne320 to the Acer Nitro XV30 QU with IPS because it uses VA technology that is not optimal for response. The catch with Acer is that it's 32 inches, not 27. It's nice for scale, but not for pixel density.

It really depends on your game-to-work ratio and how much slightly rough-looking fonts bother you. The 1440p is definitely still pretty decent in terms of the game's image details. But you will notice a thicker pixel pitch on the desktop. There are also things you win...

In the 4K space, Dave's Muse The Dough Spectrum Glossy currently looks pretty sweet at justわ499. Given that the fabric was once aパ1,100 panel, it's a pretty surprising deal. But I think the 4K will work best at 32 inches, so I'm aiming for the MSI G321CU. Rather precisely priced at Priced415.68 and running at 144hz, it is very much of a monitor for money. 

It's not the best choice for online shooters, for example, because it's VA and not IPS. But the 4K144Hz panel is not optimal for that. I'm more willing to compromise on VA vs IPS for this type of display where speed is not a very top priority.

Finally, there is an OLED monitor. The 4K240Hz MSI MAG321UPX is a relative steal with relative899. Alienware34AW3423DWF is also good forド799.

But both feel very expensive next to LCD monitors of the same form factor. So, I actually go to the SAMSUNG Odyssey G9G93SCALED. It's a 49-inch Uber-wide monster, but it's not that expensive at all1,099. The pixel density is the same as a 27-inch 1440p panel, and I prefer one that matches at least 4K32 inches. But the scale is very impressive, the Samsung QD-OLED panel is great, and you're certainly getting a lot of screens for your money
