The developers of "Manor Lords" were forced to patch a fix for one game-breaking exploit, although they stated that there was no game design issue related to infinite money.

Manor Lords is not yet in Early Access (it will launch next week on April 26), but some lucky players are already finding out how to break the game by playing this city-building and management game for the first time through early playtests.

The main goal of Manor Lords is to grow a town into a bustling city, manage it and watch it grow, but while navigating social situations and launching wars is crucial, nothing beats the need for money. One gaming YouTuber, P4wnyhof, decided to take this rule a step further and create an endless money economy that completely breaks the game with the help of 112 sheep and 52 lambs.

Sheep can technically produce an unlimited amount of wool, and with the help of three shepherds, P4wnyhof was able to obtain an astounding 772 sheep from a single sheep farm. With the help of a couple of weaving workshops that could make yarn and eventually produce clothes that could be sold for 8 coins, the sheep farm could bring in endless money.

The first couple of upgrade points would have to be spent on trade logistics and better deals.

Unfortunately, developer Grzegorz Styczen, known as Slavic Magic, decided to discontinue this feature; Styczen wrote in a tweet, "Personally, I think that "infinite money" (as some clickbaity videos say) has no game design There is no problem with the "trade only", sheep make endless wool and the "trade only" towns were part of the design. However, we received feedback about export abuse so frequently that I think we decided to yolo the last-minute features."

This means that there is no trade going on right now due to the global oversupply of wool; Styczen suggests in a reply to an earlier tweet that this may be the beginning of "random events affecting prices and more." It could be the day when a huge sheep ranch comes in handy in the future.
