Fallout" TV Show Sneak Peek at "New Vegas" Lead Designer's Stage Map

I have a feeling that the "Fallout" TV show will be mining for new nuggets for years to come. Here's an example: it's called Philly because it's a landfill, not because it's Philly. Sorry, I am Australian. That's why we need a map of the United States of Fallout; it was hidden in plain sight in the TV version of Fallout, but has conveniently been found up-to-date.

The map appears behind the TV weatherman seen on the show and is clearly not a map of the United States in our time line. It was actually drawn by Josh Sawyer, lead designer and project coordinator for Fallout: New Vegas, for his own Fallout TTRPG, who responded to a tweet pointing out the map's appearance on the show with, "[Me looking at this 20 years later]. What kind of asshole drew this?" to which he replied.

What makes this map different is that it depicts a United States in which the states have merged into 13 superstates with names like Gulf Coast, Plains, and Eastern. (Texas has incorporated Arkansas, but is simply called Texas.) This is the same as the American flag in the game, only with 13 stars.

Now that the second season of "Fallout" has been confirmed, I made a list of what I would like to see continued. Most of them are gnomes. Give us more gnomes and we'll be happy.
