Surprise: Amazon releases "Fallout" TV show a day early as a "thank you" to fans, and a second season has been confirmed.

Amazon has announced that the Fallout telecast will begin even earlier than promised, bringing the Doomsday Clock closer to midnight than ever before. That means all eight episodes will be available tomorrow, April 10, at 6 pm PT/9 pm EST/2 am BST. In Europe, it's still April 11, but there's no need to split hairs.

The news was announced in a short trailer featuring "Fallout" actor Walton Goggins, who announced that all eight episodes would be available on Prime a day early as a "thank you" to fans.

This is a full day earlier than the April 11 date they had previously stuck to. But I sort of enjoy Amazon's arbitrary disregard for everyone's schedules. Perhaps the company could change its schedule today at some point and then continue to change it retroactively as the week progresses. I won't be satisfied until Wikipedia says it aired around the same time as the Dreyfus case.

Amazon had previously announced that it was partnering with various co-distributors to broadcast the first episode of the show for free on Twitch (which it owns) on April 11. We have reached out to ask if this rescheduling will affect that broadcast date at all, and will update if we hear back. For now, I think it's safe to assume that Twitch's broadcast date will remain the same and only Prime members will be able to watch the show earlier.

Will the show be any good? Will it please fans, will it be as successful as Last Of Us? Because, according to Variety, the show's second season has already been approved for $25 million in tax credits by the state of California, suggesting that the show will move filming of this hypothetical (but certainly inevitable) second season to NCR's home turf. Wouldn't that feel like a kick in the head?
