In Helldivers 2, we got a new explosive war bond filled with high-yield candy, plus four new bank-busting ship upgrades to help us ration our freedom.

Helldivers 2's new warbond, Democratic Detonation, has landed. As announced on the game's official Twitter feed, it brings a host of fresh goodies for you freedom-lovers.

As an aside, I can't resist the reference to Taken 3. For those who don't know, the announcement video mimics the viral meme "Bryan Mills jumps a fence," in which Mills, played by Liam Neeson, uses 14 camera cuts to overcome an object. I think the Ministry of Super Earth Truth just paid actors instead of filming actual war footage, which is very fitting. Anyway, here's what's in the War Bond:

Page 1 has a G-123 Thermite grenade, a BR-14 Adjudicator Marksman rifle, and a CE-27 Groundbreaker Medium Armor, which gives a servo-assisted armor passive, throw range increased by 30%, and 50% additional health for limbs.

Page 2 has an Expert Extraction Pilot Booster, R-36 Eraptor Rifle, and CE-07 Demolition Specialist Light Armor that reduces the time it takes to escape any mission, and recoil when crouching or getting down by an additional 30%. reduction and two additional grenades.

The last three pages have the CB-9 Explosive Crossbow, GP-31 Grenade Pistol, and FF-55 Devastator Heavy Armor.

This is not the only benefit to be gained; Arrowhead Games has added a new tier of Super Destroyer upgrades. Below is a video courtesy of Helldivers 2 Discord:

Also, here are all the new upgrades you can get starting today:

These higher tier upgrades will cost you quite a bit of money. For example, "Superior Packaging" requires 150 common samples, 150 rare samples, 15 super samples, and 20,000 requested items.
