Your favorite gaming laptop is now $700 off: not a bad price to secure an RTX 4080!

The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i needs no introduction. At least if you've been paying attention to our feed for the past year. It's powerful, smart, attractive, and a great all-rounder. Right now it's $2,049, $700 off at B&H.

But if you haven't been paying attention, let me explain the specs. The most important is the RTX 4080, with 12GB of memory to boost performance on the second most important 2,560 x 1,600, 240Hz IPS screen.

It was the laptop that made us question whether we should buy the RTX 4090 gaming laptop, and its performance was very impressive.

The Legion Pro 7i's processor is an Intel Core i9 13900HX, and it seems a bit harsh to call it the third best, so we'll stop ranking bits. This is a previous generation CPU, but not much has changed between the 13th and 14th generations, so it doesn't lose much ground. Along with this, Lenovo is packing 32GB of DDR5-5600 memory.

I would hope that a 2TB drive would become standard on a $2,000 gaming laptop, but there is at least one free slot for future expansion if you choose to purchase it separately.

The sides of the Legion 7i are piled high with USB ports, and the chassis is mature enough that you'll be able to use this laptop in the office without getting any funny looks. The RGB lighting strip along the front might indicate a bit that Legion is gaming-minded, but it can be turned off at any time if you need to look important; in PC Gamer's office, it's not equipped with RGB, and it's obnoxiously loud mechanical keyboard, it looks odd.
