The PC system requirements for the highly anticipated "Manor Lords" city-building extravaganza are mercifully modest.

It has been in the works for years. Millions of Steam gamers have been waiting for it. And finally, on April 26th, it will be released. And now the full system requirements for Manor Lords, the city-building game everyone has been asking for the most, have been released. Most of them are really quite modest.

According to publisher Hooded Horse, the minimum supported CPUs are Antediluvian CPUs starting with the Intel Core i5 4670 and AMD FX 4350. Yes, AMD Bulldozer chips are on the minimum spec list for new PC titles in 2024.

On the GPU side, it is only an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 2GB or an AMD Radeon RX 460 4GB. In other words, a gaming PC with an actual discrete GPU, not one developed in the early Mesozoic era, would probably be fine.

Oh, there is one exception. You will need 16 GB of RAM to meet the minimum specs. However, RAM upgrades are much cheaper these days. For example, you can buy 16GB of DDR4 for $30.

Of course, we don't know exactly what kind of experience that will provide. The "minimum" could be minimal. But even the recommended specs are quite encouraging. [The CPU is an Intel Core i5 7600 or AMD Ryzen 3 2200G, the GPU is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB, and the system memory is the same 16GB.

This bodes very well for us mere mortals. There is nothing like us casually spooling up the RTX 4090 as our morning beer quietly pours through the filter and into the jug.

As already mentioned, Manor Lords will be playable on PC Game Pass from day one; in addition to Steam Early Access, it will also be available on GOG, with a console version coming out further down the road.

We were very impressed with the brief demo that was previously released. So let's hope Manor Lords is worth the wait. And that it works well, as the simple system requirements imply.
