The trailer for "GTA 6" alone has been a milestone for the gaming world, with 60 million views on YouTube in 12 hours. Since then, every shot has been scrutinized by enthusiasts, trying to pull out every detail, including whether the bikini girl is secretly Lucia. Personally, I still think she is Aicule, Lucia's evil doppelgänger from the mirror dimension, but when I brought a corkboard into the PCG office, I was told to stop yelling when everyone was trying to do their jobs and that I was causing a scene.

Blogger and YouTuber Andrew Levitt decided to take the same level of dedication to this highly anticipated game and recreate the trailer shot-for-shot (thanks, Eurogamer).

Initially, this looked like a cute fan remake taped together from stock footage, with some shots replaced with real people (some people were unhappy with Rockstar's use of these shots when the trailer was released). But all the drone shots here were taken by Levitt and his friend Jake, who spent a week visiting the real Miami, painstakingly searching for the shots.

Some scenes, however, had to be let go. For example, the aforementioned bikini girl scene was not filmed, despite the fact that Levitt found the penthouse used in the trailer. Staying in the apartment adjacent to the penthouse cost $4,733, and the YouTuber is disappointed that he was not able to take the rest of the tour. The full behind-the-scenes video can be viewed below.

This is not the first time Levitt and his friends have attempted this, French YouTuber CyrilMP4 did something similar in January. The raw dedication is impressive, not only on Levitt's part, but also on the rock star's.

The fact that many of these locations are firmly rooted in reality means that the rendering of parts of Miami, Florida, as the fictional "Vice City," of course, is truly faithful. It will be interesting to see how the studio weaves these well-researched locations into what amounts to a bizarre crime world, but we'll have to wait until 2025 to find out, and even longer before it comes out on PC. Alas, the fatal duel with Icru will have to wait.
