House Flipper 2 is now a platformer with a new "The Floor Is Lava" mode.

Long before the advent of video games, perhaps as a bored kid stuck at home on a rainy day, an analog platformer was invented with a simple rule: cross the room without touching the floor. Chairs, tables, cabinets, sofa cushions, ottomans, and anything else he could jump on or stand on became safe spaces in a dangerous world. On that day, "The Floor is Lava" was born.

To this day, its legacy continues. House Flipper 2, a first-person home renovation simulator, has unveiled a new "Floors are Lava" mode. This was created to celebrate April Fool's Day, but it is no joke. It is an actual mode. Platform your own house, use furniture, shelves, and other objects to create a course through the lava, and share the course with other players. Take the scorching trailer:

The courses you can build aren't just about dropping a few couch cushions and stepladders to make your way across the living room. The trailer shows players jumping over pipes, hanging ramps dozens of feet above the floor, and vaulting over trampolines.

There are also many items like directional signs and even wallpaper covered with arrows to show players the course. Perhaps this is the plan to replace the inescapable Minecraft parkour course videos on TikTok. Of course, what you can jump on is yellow, but let's hope the infamous yellow paint controversy doesn't reignite.

House Flipper 2's "floor is lava" mode is available now. Happy April Fool's Day.
