Butler is one of Lethal Company's newest monsters, and this blobfish-like man has an explosive personality.

Lethal Company's recent version 50 update has certainly divided players by how tough the single-player game has become. But if there is one thing we can agree on, it would be that the new being called Butler is the best looking killer in the entire alien moon.

The Butler appears on the Mansion map quite frequently, so it's not likely that you'll see just one on your scrap-collecting trips. The first encounter will probably be a peaceful one, as this creature can be docile or aggressive at times. Usually, the butler will need to make a preemptive strike in order to attack, but you still want to keep your distance just in case.

If you are unfortunate enough to have to fight a butler, you will not leave empty-handed. Three hits with a shovel will take him down, but beware that just before he dies, the butler will expand and fly out, releasing a large number of angry wasps. The explosion does some damage to you, and the wasps certainly don't make you feel any better, but fortunately these pesky insects are so stupid that losing them is easy.

After all the insects have dissipated, grab a butler's knife. If your enemy can lift you up and take you away like a bramble or spider, then getting close is not an option. The knife's short cooldown of 0.4 seconds allows you to attack people and creatures quickly, but it only deals one damage per hit.

But like most things in Lethal Company, it comes at a price. If you pick up a butler's knife and bring it back to the ship, you can sell it for up to 35 credits. It's not a gold bar or a cash register, but for me, if The Company's scrap objects cost this much, I would not turn my nose up at credits, no matter how small.

Despite Butler's hideous face (sorry, but it's true), there is not much to fear about this new monster. However, the fact that a fellow crew member has acquired a knife and can quickly stab me and the rest of the team with it does not give me a great deal of confidence. If someone gets a knife and starts acting like an imposter, the next Lethal Company game is going to look like an "Among Us" crossover.
