The "Task Master" video game has a creative mode that allows players to invent their own custom tasks and challenge their friends.

The 17th series of the comedy game show "Taskmaster" begins this weekend, and I shudder to think how many people have suggested subject ideas to Little Alex Horn. The number must be in the thousands, and every "Taskmaster" fan must have at least a few good ideas rolling around in their heads, even if they have never given them directly to Horn.

The good news is that if you've ever wanted to create a Taskmaster task and judge your family and friends harshly on their lack of completion, you'll soon have the chance to do so: Taskmaster VR allows you to become the assistant to the Taskmaster's assistant Creative Mode has been announced. This means that you will not only be able to perform tasks for Sir Greg Davis in Taskmaster VR, but you will also be able to invent your own tasks.

"With access to a variety of classic Taskmaster items, players can create custom tasks, entirely new scenarios, or just mess around," says developer Scallywag Arcade." Once players have created a task, they can challenge their friends and family with that task in local play."

In the Creative Mode trailer above, Alex's trusty tablet is at the player's disposal, with all sorts of familiar items at their disposal to create custom tasks, including rubber ducks, dolls, vegetables, bongo drums, eggs The player can also place the tablet and open the door to the hut. You can also place a tablet to open a cabin door or climb into a caravan, and find even more physical objects such as bowling pins, beach balls, wooden platforms, musical instruments, and more. The pot labeled "Mike's Absolute Casserole" in the kitchen can be found at its ...... Handle with care.

If you are not familiar with Taskmaster, it is a show in which five comedians are given silly challenges such as "get the coconut as far as possible," "throw something impressive into the air," or "give the best service at the Taskmaster Hotel." In Series 7, contestants had to physically recreate a classic video game. The tasks were judged by the dignified yet chaotic Greg Davis, and the winner took home a gold trophy from Greg's head. [There are versions of it all over the world, including Sweden, Spain, Finland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. I got hooked on the show during the pandemic thanks to the many episodes available on YouTube, and it's now one of my favorite shows. I don't wear my VR headset much these days, but I'm ready to take it off and go into the studio for this.

"The opportunity to set your own tasks is something the community has been craving," says Neil Taylor, head of gaming at Scallywag Arcade. 'We were inspired by seeing fans participating in taskmaster parties at home and wanted to bring that same spirit to VR.'
