A new patch has been applied to Stardew Valley to fix the "creepy face" bear.

Stardew Valley's 1.6 major update was released last week, but work on the game has not stopped, not even slowed down by the looks of it. Creator Eric Barone today released a new 1.6.3 patch for the PC version.

Despite the relatively smooth rollout, players have found several problems with the update, some of which have been fixed in this update. For example, the bear in the maple syrup event has a "creepy face bug" that will be addressed in this update.

Barone said earlier this week that he will not return to work on his next game, Haunted Chocolatier, until Stardew Valley 1.6 is released "bug-free" to all platforms. It is clear that he was not asking for a vacation, as he has been actively looking for and fixing issues with the update since it was released: this is the third patch since the 1.6 update was released, and the largest.
