The expansion is coming to your favorite city builder, which has sold more than 1 million copies on Steam.

Typically, when you are playing City Builder, the large cities you are building are meant to last. In fact, making your city last throughout the entire game is usually the point of the game.

This is one of the reasons "Against the Storm" stands out from the pack. The city you build won't last long. In this strange fantasy world, a magical catastrophe has struck and the world is on the brink of destruction by hurricanes and storms. While managing a group of colonists who can be humans, lizards, or beavers, you will battle the windstorms and try to gather enough resources to build your way further into the world, while also fighting the demands of an increasingly impatient queen.

PC Gamer's Against the Storm review (91%) calls it "a well-designed, engaging, and engrossing roguelike builder," and it seems we're not alone in enjoying it. According to developer Eremite Games and publisher Hooded Horse, Against the Storm has sold over 1 million copies on Steam, with "overwhelmingly positive" ratings on Steam and over 21,000 reviews. [It is "incredibly encouraging that a small, relatively unknown studio like ours can find success on Steam," said Lukasz Korzanowski, co-founder of Eremite Games, credited the time Against the Storm spent in Early Access, communicating with players, and "listening to their feedback" as a big part of the roguelike's success.

The studio is not yet finished. A free update to version 1.3 is underway, with an expansion planned for later this year that will add new races, additional biomes, and more new buildings and events.
