Rumors are circulating that Arrowhead Game Studios, developer of Helldivers 2, will be acquired by Sony. Pilestedt also noted that an image used to "announce" the acquisition was circulating, claiming that an "old logo from around 2008 when the studio was just starting up" was used instead of the latest logo.

The day before Pilestedt denied the rumor, he replied to another tweet claiming that Arrowhead was already owned by Sony. He may be extremely busy with "Helldivers 2" but he still makes time to correct the misinformation. 'We are not owned. We are independent." Arrowhead seems content with his current situation, and given the success of the game, it's not hard to see why.
