A children's MMO plagued by the message "The next world is your boss's a**hole" is now available on European Steam.

Wizard101, an MMO for kids older than the majority of the player base, is coming to Steam. Well, sort of; Wizard101 has already been available on Steam for U.S. players since 2018, but as of yesterday, this venerable family-friendly massively multiplayer online RPG (FFMMORPG) is also available on Steam in Europe, where it has never been before.

If you're anything like me, this news will make you ask one question: why does Wizard101 sound so familiar, a game plagued by strange messages from hackers in September 2022? BRADLEY COME DOWN TO MY OFFICE THIS INSTANT, "Dick and balls", and my personal favorite, "The next world is my boss's asshole", shit for kids games. It is a profound statement that would be more aptly sung by Egor Letov than posted.

The message went viral in 2022, temporarily transforming Wizard101 from an obscure playground into the most interesting MMO on the market. Developer KingIsle eventually shut down the servers to root out the poet intruders and posted an apology to the game's users on the forums.

I'm inclined to wish they'd left it alone for a while longer, but for the average 8-year-old, being confronted with an official message from their favorite game saying, "Come to Room 102 and I'll beat you to a pulp," would be troubling, and even WoW wouldn't do that.

Anyway, if you are European and a literal child or just someone who wants the raw thrill of a game that could erupt in John Cooper Clarke poetry at any moment, you can find Wizard101 on Steam in the EU right now, French, Italian, German, Spanish, French, Greek, and newly localized into Polish as well; UK English is also available, though it doesn't appear to be on UK Steam. We don't know what we'll find.
