A number of Adult Swim games have been discontinued by Warner Bros.

Just days after the developer of Small Radios Big Televisions announced that his game would be "retired" from Steam at the behest of Warner Bros. Discovery, the possibility has emerged that Adult Swim's entire game catalog may suffer the same fate. At least two other developers have also stated that they have been notified that games published by Adult Swim will be removed from sale within 60 days.

In a message posted on the Steam forums, Fist Puncher developer Team2Bit said it received the same message from Warner: the game will be "removed from Steam within the next 60 days." Team2Bit's own request to transfer the game to the Steam publisher page was denied, despite the relatively short and simple transfer process, because Warner "made a universal decision not to transfer the game to the original studio and does not have the resources to do so." [Matt Kain Lewandowski of Team2Bit said, "This is incredibly disappointing. I have no idea what will even happen if this game is delisted, but it sickens me to think that a game I purchased will probably be removed from my user library."

Lewandowski is also concerned that Fist Puncher owners may lose access to the game and all associated content after the delisting, but this seems unlikely: normally, when a game is delisted on Steam, existing owners Lewandowski hopes that will happen, but said it is not something he can control.

On Twitter, Michael Molinari stated that Soundodger+ has also been removed and Warner has refused to transfer ownership. Warner will allow republishing on Steam as long as there is no mention of Adult Swim in the game "including team members or credits," but in that case, no review, wish list, or any other association with the original release will remain: "New customers can compare achievements with old customers and and cards cannot be exchanged," Molinari wrote.

Landon Podbielski, developer of Duck Game, has not been contacted about the delisting, but expects it to be soon. He tweeted, "Don't know much yet, sad but not really surprised." I loved ASG and its people, but they've been practically shut down for years, so it's past time. "Podbielski said the takedown might be a good thing if Warner could return ownership of the games to the developers, but that has so far indicated it will not be done He added that Warner has indicated that it will not do so at this time.

Kingsway developer Andrew Morrish indicated that he, too, has not been notified of the delisting, but that if it happens, "we will do what we can to get the game re-listed on Steam and other stores."

Developers of other Adult Swim-published games have not mentioned the possibility of delisting, but a total removal would not be entirely out of line with Warner Bros.' recent Operation Discovery. The company has canceled at least two major releases in recent years, "Batgirl" and "Coyote vs. Acme," both of which had been completed. The company has also removed dozens of shows and movies from its Max (formerly HBO Max) streaming service.

At this time, neither Adult Swim nor parent company Warner has commented on the status of Adult Swim's catalog, but as Podbielski noted, Adult Swim Games has been inactive all along: its latest release on Steam is 2020 The latest release on Steam is "Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time" in 2020, and the Twitter account has been inactive since June 2021. This is not a state of affairs that inspires confidence in the future.
