You've got a new melee weapon in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 Reloaded, and it's not just a shiny knife. This weapon can gut any poor soul with a riot shield.

Named Soulrender, presumably by My Chemical Romance, the sword has the unique MW3 ability to slice through enemies quickly and unleash hardcore, violent attacks. Some players take full advantage of this killer combo to wipe out enemy teams or get as close as possible.

"What's the point of using this weapon if you're not going for that cool animation," said one Youtuber, Handler, during a kill compilation using the sword in question.

There are two ways to use the Soul Render. The right click is a quick slash, but the left click performs a deadly animation that cuts the enemy's head twice, killing it instantly. It seems somewhat overpowered and can execute other players as soon as they get within arm's reach. Even when the enemy team is trying to keep their distance, a quick ninja run can take care of them from behind before they know what is happening.

One of Soulrender's greatest advantages is against Riot Shield users; Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that this trick is used intentionally in MW3 multiplayer, according to a tweet by CharlieIntel, Soulrender is the only melee weapon that can do this, meaning that the Soulrender is the only melee weapon that can do this.

In the hands of a decent player, the Soulrender looks pretty broken. Especially if you use perks such as covert sneakers to muffle footsteps or lightweight boots to increase movement speed. But there are risks and rewards with this weapon, and you probably won't get very far if you just run headfirst into someone with a BAS-B pointed at you.

If you want to try the Soul Render yourself, it's not hard to get your hands on one. All you have to do is clear Sector B21 on the Season 2 Battle Pass. This is a new sector introduced in the latest update to give players more things to unlock. However, instead of using Battle Pass tokens, players will need to complete challenges, such as earning all sector rewards.

After this, players can have fun slaying any Riot Shield-using dreams they find, or flying around looking for their next unprotected victim.
