A new leaderboard in Diablo 4 has been ruined by cheaters, and players are begging Blizzard for a quick fix.

Not all of the players who rank high on Diablo 4's new leaderboard are playing by the rules. A new exploit has caused people's scores to skyrocket, and players are hoping Blizzard will fix it by the start of the Week 2 leaderboard tomorrow.

Over the weekend, word quickly spread throughout the community about a way to skyrocket scores in The Gauntlet, Diablo 4's new 8-minute speedrun dungeon. Players discovered that they could start the run with powerful buffs from a shrine in the open world, giving them a huge advantage over players starting with nothing.

Success in The Gauntlet is already dependent on the buffs from the shrines picked up during the run through the map to defeat enemies. For example, the Artillery Shrine makes all skills fire holy arrows in all directions. Shrines also increase the speed at which you run, so you should always have one with you.

The best players plan an efficient route through the dungeon and attack all the shrines along the way. Players who can start with a shrine buff can not only follow a faster route, but can even create builds based on activating specific buffs Diablo 4 streamer Rob2628 leaves a trail of Blizzard patches with the power of unlimited mana buffs in channeling shrines He showed off a sorcerer build. However, regular players must optimize their builds for the lack of buffs from the start.

Despite the exploit, sorcerer player Mekuna maintains the highest score in the game. They do not use exploit and told us that they plan to post a video of their best run tomorrow when The Gauntlet resets to the new layout. They, along with many other Diablo 4 players, hope that Blizzard will fix the exploit by week 2 and immortalize Cheetah on the permanent season leaderboard.

A second exploit that allows players to enter a dungeon before it begins was also recently discovered, but the benefit of doing so is not as strong as the shrine method.

Blizzard has not commented on this exploit and has not added any fixes to the notes for tomorrow's patch. If it is not fixed by tomorrow, the second week of The Gauntlet will be much less exciting, and we expect some highly ranked players to quit until competitive integrity is restored.
