Deep Rock Galactic developers drill for "Hell Diver 2" collaboration.

Deep Rock Galactic and Helldivers 2 have much in common. The horde shooters are deployed on hostile planets and shoot bugs, but the crossover has yet to be born. Not only has the game only been out for a month, but the blockbuster hit has caused major server problems. Just as the ocean is very wet, it is safe to assume that Arrowhead Games has been very busy.

Still, that hasn't stopped Deep Rock Galactic developer Ghost Ship Games (which recently mobilized its fanbase to make "dwarf" an official Steam category) from shooting some charmingly chaotic bad guys, as discovered by GamesRadar , the developer streamed "Helldivers 2" over the weekend as a goodwill gesture to Arrowhead Games.

"I just downloaded Deep Rock Galactic's new reskin mod," one of the trio joked, standing with his arms outstretched like an alien who has come in peace. I emailed Arrowhead a while ago saying, 'Hey guys, let's do something together,' but I never got an email back. So this is our next chance to do something together

"We're going to play their game on live streaming and say, 'Arrowhead, what are you guys doing? Please respond to my email. Let's talk. Let's see what we can do together."

Jacob Herold, the studio's social media manager, calls out: "Watch our body language. We are very open and vulnerable right now." Herold worked as a court psychologist for 30 years, reportedly studying the body language of serial killers.

You may be shocked that Herold's LinkedIn page does not mention his 30-year tenure in the Chicago criminal justice system. However, since I trust Ghost Ship Games, he is probably just shy about serving the public interest.

"If you guys want to chime in," a third developer hinted in the stream's chat, adding, "Let me throw in a little love letter: nothing crazy, though." Aaron (or "Sweet Keith," as he likes to be called) quickly ended their plea before launching an impromptu vote on which diver's costume would "go the hardest." [As of this writing, neither CEO Johan Pilested nor Arrowhead Games Twitter have officially responded, but with the new "Warbond" film on the horizon, the studio is no doubt still a bit busy. It will be a while before we see rock and stone go hand in hand with sweet freedom.
