We found an RTX 4080 Super with an MSRP of $1,000.

Graphics card pricing remains a major point of contention for many PC gamers. While the pandemic glut and ensuing crypto boom that drove prices skyrocketing in the first place is long past, we regularly see many GPUs, especially high-end Nvidia cards like the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090, selling at prices well above MSRP.

However, we spotted this amazingly fast Zotac Super Trinity Black Edition RTX 4080 Super on Amazon for an MSRP of $1,000. [$1,000 is not cheap, but for that amount of money you get a very high performance GPU.

With a 2550 MHz boost clock and 16GB of GDDR6X VRAM, this card certainly has the power to take on the most demanding titles with high resolutions and silky smooth frame rates, and being a 40-series GPU, DLSS 3 and Frame Generation technologies, you can get every last drop of performance out of this very powerful gaming GPU.

The RTX 4080 Super may only be 1% to 2% faster than the regular RTX 4080 in our gaming benchmarks, but as this MSI RTX 4080 is $1,201 at Walmart, the original card is selling for significantly higher prices. We still see no real point in buying the original card when you can get an ever-slightly faster version for a better price, given that the RTX 4080 Super performs about the same or in some cases slightly better overall. There is no real point in buying the original card when you can get a slightly faster version for a better price. [This card is the best way to get one right now without paying a fortune. [The FE version of the RTX 4080 Super ran cool enough thanks to its own substantial cooler and relatively efficient design, but it wouldn't hurt to add a fan or two to keep it reasonably cool.

Also, while the RTX 4090 is outclassed in our benchmarks, given that it regularly sells for a whopping $2,000+, we'd opt for this card instead.
