Puzzle geeks, rejoice! Veteran picross maker Jupiter Corporation has finally released a picross game on the PC. Logiart Grimoire, released last week, is a cute, story-driven picross game in which you and your wacky sidekick Emil solve picross puzzles to unravel a magical book that someone messed up with the wrong spell.

The only downside is that I might have liked a proper mainline picross game from Jupiter, but beggars can't be choosers.

Picross, as Jupiter describes it, is a puzzle genre that uses numbers as clues to solve visual puzzles. The rules are simple and easy to understand, and the puzzles are great fun.

Logi Art Grimoire offers a fairly wide variety of puzzle types that can be unlocked in the game by combining materials obtained by completing the puzzles. The puzzles come in 5x5, 10x10, 15x15, 20x15, 30x30, and 40x30 sizes, for a total of 280 puzzles.

Jupiter is one of the best Picross game makers ever. Starting with "Tamori Picross" and "Mario's Super Picross" on the NES, they are probably best known for their "Picross E" series on the Nintendo 3DS and "Picross S" series on the Switch.
