Former developer of "The Witcher 3" and "Cyberpunk 2077" officially announces his first game.

In February 2022, a group of CD Projekt veterans led by "Witcher 3" director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz announced the launch of a new studio called Rebel Wolves, which Rich Stanton described as "a strong vampire vibe." The company teased its first project with concept art that was "a bit of a vampire vibe. Today, two years later, the studio finally unveiled the game's title and new art.

Rebel Wolves' debut title is "Dawnwalker," and while no details are available at this time, the new images are certainly evocative: a silhouette emerges from a sulfurous cloud, sword raised above its head, claw-like fingers extended, and placed on a blood-red The figure, set against a backdrop of blood-red, is the very scream of a wampir. Or maybe he is a man who hunts and kills vampires for fun and money. He has the look of Geralt, doesn't he?

The Dawnwalker is also very similar to the Daywalker. Blade may be the best known daywalker (at least, he is the one I know of), but could he be confused with Arkane's recently released "Blade" game? At the very least, this is another indication that it is indeed a vampire.

Rebel Wolves recently added another CD Projekt alum to its lineup: lead quest designer on The Witcher 3 and its excellent expansion, Blood and Wine Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, who served as Quest Designer and Designer Director for "Cyberpunk 2077," has joined his former CDPR colleagues as the studio's Creative Director.

"Throughout all my years in game development, story-driven role-playing adventures have always been my greatest passion. For me, nothing compares to being able to fully immerse myself and discover a handcrafted story and world." There are so many great RPGs out there today, but I feel there is not only enough space, but also a thirst among players for more engaging stories.

"We want to create worlds that make you want to explore and dive deep, and tell stories that make you care about the characters. We aim to provide an experience that gives you a variety of choices and room for experimentation when you replay it."

Rebel Wolves' website describes Dawnwalker as "our own AAA IP, a dark fantasy RPG" and is intended to be the first game in a planned series. The game is currently in the "alpha stage of development" and the studio has said it will reveal more about what is coming later this year.
