Looks like Bethesda's "Indiana Jones" game has a name.

Lucasfilm has registered several new domains for "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle". The registrations were first discovered by X user Kurakasis and include:

http://indianajones-and-the-great-circle.com

In addition, Kurakasis notes that Lucasfilm applied for a European trademark for "Great Circle" two years ago.

A great circle is a mathematical term referring to the largest circle that can be drawn on any spherical surface, a term used in relation to the earth itself. This may be the book titled "Ancient Circles," among other items.

The Indiana Jones game was first announced in January 2021 and is being developed by MachineGames, best known for its wonderfully schlocky reboot of Wolfenstein. The game is being supervised and published by Bethesda, and interestingly, the registration came just as Bethesda was preparing to properly unveil the game. Microsoft announced a few days ago that it will release the first proper information about the game during a Developer Direct on January 18, including details about the game's setting, storyline, "how fans will actually play as an indie," and the first gameplay trailer

The company also announced that it would release the first proper information about the game.

There are no real details about the game yet, but one thing we do know is that it will not be released on PlayStation as Bethesda had originally planned. Todd Howard vaguely described the studio's ambitions for the game: "We can talk about the Indiana Jones universe, but it's him, it's the character. I mean, you can talk about the world of Indiana Jones, but it's him, it's the character. So you can do a lot of different things that we wanted to do with the game. It's a unique game.

It goes without saying that Indy is the star of this Developer Direct, but there's a lot more that piques our interest Obsidian is set in the world of Pillars of Eternity first-person RPG Avowed, showed off the first "deep dive," Oxide Games unveiled its "Civilisation meets Crusader Kings" historical grand strategy game Ara: History Untold, and Ninja Theory released its " Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2" will be shown.
