The industrial-inspired city-building game "Factory Town" has a new spin-off this week. All of them detail strange factory-like societies. I think you get my drift.
My point is that this is a great game if, like me, you enjoy complex production chains, optimizing your income to match your output, and generally speaking, getting your numbers up. There is a demo if you are interested.
It's very simple at first, just click here and there to generate resources and then build a building full of workers to make something with those resources. From there, it gets more and more complex as you select items to sell at the market or use as an intermediate step for more advanced goods.
As you progress, you will learn to produce power, expand into new biomes, and have a wider range of challenges and quests. While these new biomes have new advantages, they also lack some, so you will create trade routes between towns to strengthen them.
Eventually, you will begin to complete quests of increasing difficulty, each of which will provide new benefits. For my part, I found the information available to be excellent.
You can purchase Factory Town Idle on Steam for $5.
