Asus Teases New ZenBook Duo at CES 2024; Second Screen Will Be Full-Size OLED

CES 2024 will soon be upon us, and as the Las Vegas event approaches, we are already starting to see some previews of announcements. This time it's Asus' turn to give us a sneak peek (via Twitter) of what will be on display at their announcement event on January 9.

While specs are unlikely to be known until an official announcement is made, Asus' tweet gives us a shadowy glimpse of what looks like a new ZenBook Duo with two screens of the same size and a removable full-sized keyboard

This is a very nice piece of hardware.

This is quite an upgrade over the previous Duo, with a tiltable screen pad and integrated keyboard, and it appears that the keyboard can be completely removed on this new model for full access to the full-sized screen.

This is a design concept that Asus has played with before in the form of the ZenBook 17 Fold OLED with its own detachable keyboard (albeit with a single foldable display), and it seems that the new ZenBook Duo is a big There is some evidence to suggest that it may have learned a thing or two from its siblings, although given the prominent reference to the "Duo AI Experience," it seems reasonable to speculate that the new Duo is likely to use Intel's new Meteor Lake processor, although this not yet been confirmed.

Having two large OLEDs built into the same laptop would certainly be a boon for creators; the second display is imagined to be useful for image and video editing, but it remains to be seen if the new ZenBook is powerful enough to use both for gaming

And also.

Regardless, it is nice to see more attempts at laptop form factors, and it will be interesting to see if this new model can maintain the same relatively slim chassis profile as its predecessor.

We will keep our eyes and ears open for all the latest news emanating from CES 2024, but by the looks of it, Asus may have a few laptop tricks up its sleeve at the big launch event on January 9.
