Remedy's survival horror tale of a sad man and his missing wife, "Alan Wake 2," is just a week away from release. You will need a very robust PC to run this game.
First things first, let's look at the numbers:
This is a pretty steep hardware requirement, especially if you want high-end eye candy: not to put too fine a point on it, but the RTX 4080 GPU alone is probably higher than my entire PC.
This is not particularly well-received by some followers on Twitter: some question the "optimization" of the game, while others expect the requirements to be set high enough to provide a good experience on a borderline PC. (
(I fall into the last group, by the way, but this is my reaction to almost everything).
On Reddit, the word "insane" has already appeared dozens of times in the official system requirements thread. CaramelChemical633 writes 'One of them is this system requirement.'
Remedy's last major title, "Control," also presented eye-popping system requirements prior to release, but at that time, the specs posted on the Epic Games store were tentative, and the official requirements Remedy released a week later were quite reasonable. Nevertheless, since these figures were only spoken by the man himself, we will have to sit back and hope for the best when "Alan Wake 2" is released next week.
