General
My favorite indie Elder Scrolls-like finally took on the best spell in the series.

When playing Elder Scrolls games, I like to crouch and walk around and do treacherous acts like Garrett from Aldi brand of Thief, but when things get nasty, I summon Storm Atronach or stinking skeletons to fight me, There's always room for Conjuration magic, too. Smarter, Harder! With the Halloween update, the magical Minimorrowind "Dread Delusion" made that possible.

The "Rise of the Skeletons" update adds a new bone boy summoning spell to the game, placed on a new island in the game's asteroid field open world and possibly locked behind a necromantic combat challenge.

It fits in well with Dread Delusion's fiction that glorifies the undead, curses, and mass biological defilement. If you can't decide on a game to get you in the Halloween spirit, there are better ones out there.

As an aside, I like that Dread Delusion's world is a collection of floating islands, which makes adding new areas and quests organic and intuitive: add a new floating island and you're good to go.

This update seems like a bit of an appetizer before Dread Delusion's main event, the Clockwork Kingdom update. Clockwork Kingdom will be Dread Delusion's third hub area, providing a new footprint for the main quest in the realm of crazy machine gods.

The Rise of the Skeletons update also adds a number of quality-of-life changes and bug fixes, making Dread Delusion look pretty special in Early Access. I loved this RPG in even its most rustic state upon its initial release and can't wait to see it in its final form.
