There is only one week left to vote for the 2023 Golden Joystick Award for Ultimate Game of the Year.

The shortlist for the three main categories of the Golden Joystick Awards has been released: Ultimate Game of the Year (UGOTY), Best Supporting Performer, and Best Lead Performer. If you're wondering why I'm telling you all this, it's because the Golden Joystick Awards are run by Future, the parent company of PC Gamer.

The event, now in its 41st year, has been running since 1983. This year's competition is massive, with more than 20 categories for gamers to vote in. Several of the categories opened earlier this month, but three in particular were moved due to the late arrival of Spider-Man 2 and others. Voting will remain open until Monday, October 30 at 11 p.m. GMT (4 p.m. PT, 7 p.m. ET).

The nominations for Ultimate Game of the Year in particular are massive, thanks to the fact that this has been a pretty wild year for the game. In addition to the highest scoring game of the past 16 years and the final pin in the long and painful redemption story of "Cyberpunk 2077," there were some great hits in indie games like "Dave the Diver."

As for PC games, contenders include "Baldur's Gate 3," "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor," "Starfield," "Cocoon," "Hi-Fi Rush," "Lords of the Fallen," "Diablo 4" The PS5 is also a cross-platform game. It's also cross-platform, so if you've got a PS5 and are swinging and blasting through New York City with "Spider-Man 2" and are desperately waiting for news of a port, now is your chance to make your voice heard.

"We've created the biggest UGOTY shortlist ever," says Future Content Director Daniel Dawkins.

"It's never been more difficult for a judging panel to discuss the relative merits of a game. Moreover, online titles are constantly being patched and improved, while more major productions tread the line between game expansions and full-fledged titles, making them more difficult to judge.

Supporting and Best Actor awards went to talents such as Yuri Lowenthal as Peter Parker in "Spider-Man 2" and Idris Elba as Solomon Reed in "Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty," while Neil Newbon in "Baldur's Gate 3" ( Asterion) and Amelia Tyler (as the Narrator) rub shoulders with key players such as.

Voting is open now. The deadline for voting is October 30, so there is only a little over a week left. The show itself will air live on November 10, and the winners will be announced at the first in-person event since Pandemic, but it will also be streamed worldwide, so you can watch and see if your personal favorite will be crowned Ultimate Game of the Year 2023 can watch and find out if your personal favorite will be crowned Ultimate Game of the Year 2023.
