Baldur's Gate 3" Mod Allows Non-Party Characters to Participate in Conversations

One of the most frustrating things about Baldur's Gate 3 is getting to the end of a conversation and realizing later that the flow of the game would have been completely different if certain companions were in the party. Worse yet, because of the lack of companionship, you might miss an important plot point from your companions.

Thankfully, modder Silent Note has provided a Baldur's Gate 3 mod called "Everyone in Dialogue" (via PCGamesN).

Uploaded to Nexus Mods by Shagone, the mod "allows all allies to participate and respond to player dialogue regardless of distance or party size, whether they are party members or not."

Not only can it be toggled on a character-by-character basis, but it also works even when playing as a different character if there is a character you do not want to be present for a particular event." When a character with the "Grouped Dialogue" status initiates a dialogue, all available allies automatically participate in that dialogue and react, whether or not they are party members.

Sure, it breaks the immersion a bit to have allies join the conversation from miles across the map, but it also means that you won't miss a part of the game that you might have otherwise missed.

As the description says, it requires Norbyte's Script Extender to work, but this mod doesn't actually change the game files, so it should be compatible with other known mods.

Currently, the Everyone in Dialogue mod has some bugs." Origin characters do not sleep if they go to bed with passive enabled," and "Occasionally, the indicator that a character wants to talk to you in camp does not appear." Helpfully, the description advises to "check regularly if someone wants to talk to you, especially Gail."

The mods also let people know, in vague percentages, how close each bug is to being fixed.
