As an avid Mini-ITX fan, I love it when manufacturers think outside the box, or out of the box, by miniaturizing their graphics cards. Therefore, I was very pleased to see Colorful working on a single-slot RTX 4060 Ti 16GB card. This card is the only performance gaming graphics card in a single-slot form factor that I can remember in the last few years, giving SFF fans an interesting option.

This card was spotted by @Zed_Wang. Measuring 267mm x 107mm x 20mm, it features four display outputs consisting of three DisplayPort and one HDMI port. The rear I/O plate has a notch to vent hot air.

The single-slot RTX 4060 Ti is the kind of card that will appeal to users with really small cases while delivering proper gaming card performance. having a 16GB card that can take advantage of DLSS 3 and frame generation in a NUC-sized system is definitely attractive.

It is interesting that Colorful chose the RTX 4060 Ti - and 16GB - over the 115W RTX 4060, as the RTX 4060 Ti is built around an AD106 GPU with 4,532 shader units, 2,535Mhz boost clock, and 165W TDP. This TDP is relatively low. This TDP, though relatively low, is a big ask for a single-slot cooler, so there is no doubt that such a card will be quite loud under load. However, if you wear headphones, it will not bother you in any case.

There are already RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti small form factor options, which may be preferable depending on your wants and needs Colorful makes them, including the tiny iGame RTX 4060 Ti Mini Gigabyte makes a low-profile RTX 4060, but both cards occupy two slots, making it difficult to cram more than one RTX 4060 into a single system.

While SLI no longer exists and there is no longer a need for multiple GPUs for gaming, there are several scenarios in which this 20mm-thick card will appeal. For example, in a multi-monitor or video wall setup system. With eight video ports, a case that supports four slots would be necessary. Another possible application would be a cheap compute system or render farm. If Ethereum mining was still happening ......" and imagine, cramming seven ports into one ATX case would have been perfect.

Filling six or seven PCIe slots in a Threadripper 7000 series system with these cards would save a lot of space.

While we were impressed with these single-slot cards, this is still a very niche product. A regular dual-slot cooler would provide higher performance and quieter cooling. Still, it is nice to have a very unusual option for those who want a single slot.

Pricing has not yet been announced, but it will almost certainly be at the lower end of the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB pricing range, with $449 to $499 being a safe bet.
