This RTX 4070 Gaming PC Offers a Powerful and Upgradeable Combo for $1,440

If you're looking for a powerful gaming PC on a budget with a great CPU/GPU combination, Newegg has you covered! Newegg currently has one of the best candidates for a budget gaming PC marked down to $1,440, $360 less than the regular price.

This version of ABS' Stratos Aqua is powered by an Intel Core i7 13700F with 8 performance cores, 8 efficient cores, 24 threads, and fits perfectly on an MSI B760 motherboard. 16GB Kingston Fury RGB DDR5 5600MHz RAM is on board. While 32GB is what you would want in a modern gaming PC, upgrading RAM is one of the easiest and cheapest modifications, and 16GB is considered sufficient for most games.

This CPU/RAM combination is certainly a good mid-range combination as it stands, but the most important thing here is to get on the ladder with an LGA 1700 socket and DDR5 support, which this system most certainly provides.

Further down the spec sheet, you will notice MSI's powerful RTX 4070 version. Purchasing a 40 series at this point will allow you to take full advantage of Nvidia's DLSS 3 and its frame generation technology, allowing you to reap the benefits of extra frame rates and enhanced image quality.

Additionally, it is worth noting that this particular configuration uses a Corsair RM750e Gold PSU along with a Kingston 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD. A common complaint among pre-built system buyers is that companies often try to save money by installing no-name power supplies. It is nice to see a system that takes advantage of the added reliability and peace of mind that a robust power supply from a trusted supplier can bring. This product offers great headroom, and those looking for a great starting point should sit up and take notice again.

Rounding out the specs is the case, a rather handsome Micro-ATX unit with plenty of included fans and plenty of room for future additions. Personally, I'm not completely sold on the built-in CPU cooler, but there is certainly room for a larger model if things start to get a little hot, and it could be upgraded relatively easily if you so desire.

With Black Friday fast approaching, it may be difficult these days to find a decent mid-range system at a reasonable price with plenty of room for improvement, although other competing products could enter this price range. Nevertheless, as it stands, this system is a value-for-money PC and well worth serious consideration.
