When I say "almost everything," I mean it. As far as I can tell, the only real limitation on this Diablo 4 free weekend is that character levels max out at level 20 (instead of 100, the game's normal maximum). Aside from that, Blizzard says that you'll have "access to all of Diablo 4's content" and that any progress you make will carry over to the regular game if you actually decide to purchase it.

And wow, Diablo 4 is 25% off on Halloween. Quite serendipitous.

Like the majority of people reading this, I'd rather keep my games on Steam than spread them out in the launcher that keeps proliferating on my taskbar, but unfortunately if I want to take advantage of Diablo 4's free period, I'll have to stick with Battle.net. Even though the game came to Steam 10 days ago, Blizzard is limiting the trial to its own launcher. If it's free, there's not much to complain about.

I spent quite a bit of time in the beta period of this game, but it cooled off surprisingly quickly when it was actually released. From what I hear, the game is slowly (but perhaps not reliably) getting back on track and is bringing back people like me who felt something was missing from the main game.
