Not every medieval survival city builder can export thousands and thousands of cherry-flavored cookies and become a wealthy biscuit king.

And don't let all those cookies make you think this is a cute and cuddly city builder. Before I started baking cookies, my only export was a pile of frozen peasant corpses. I'm not kidding, surviving the harsh environment of patronage, not to mention keeping everyone alive long enough for the cookie industry to thrive, is a huge challenge. It can also be fun!

So, if you like city builders, I recommend Patron. Not only is the game coming up on two years since its release, but it has just added a whole new mode.

For those who find Patron's sandbox experience a bit too difficult or want to unlock everything at the start, a new creative mode has been added. All research trees, building types, and all resources are unlocked at the start of the game and can be used indefinitely. It's a builder's paradise, with no limits on how you build and grow your city.
